Account Manager

Job Description

Alloy Design + Development is looking for an Account Manager to join our growing account services and digital marketing team. This position will manage an array of digital marketing projects across disciplines from start to finish and work alongside account leads to ensure client happiness. The Account Manager’s focus will be managing inbound marketing programs, assisting with account management and supporting other marketing initiatives, including public relations, graphic design projects and more. No web development skills required and no design skills required, but the aptitude to dig in and manage both types of work is required. The key for success in this position is your ability to communicate clearly with clients and internal team members; your ability to multi-task and wear many hats; and your willingness to accept ownership and responsibility for projects you’re working on.

Typical duties include:

  • Contributing to the success of content marketing initiatives, including writing blog posts and editing for SEO best practices
  • Managing all aspects of HubSpot initiatives for clients, including uploading content, setting up landing pages and templates, assisting with editorial calendar development, managing email campaigns and overseeing the development of content offers
  • Guiding clients and Alloy team members through technical projects — including ecommerce, web apps, marketing websites, and custom development 
  • Effectively communicating with clients on the status of projects and ongoing progress
  • Managing client’s website development or redesign process from the discovery phase through to client training under the supervision of an account lead. Projects may include conducting stakeholder interviews and competitive analysis, working closely with our designers and developers, and uploading content
  • Supporting marketing and public relations initiatives, including writing, media outreach and assisting with sponsorship management
  • Managing graphic design projects, including serving as client liaison, communicating objectives, ensuring on-time delivery of mockups and final products, and coordinating with printers
  • Assisting with office projects and tasks, including helping with management of our co-working office space

Our ideal candidate: 

  • Has 1-3 years of experience in the digital world; past agency experience is a big plus

  • Loves to write and feels comfortable editing others’ work

  • Is a great communicator

  • Keeps projects organized and is proactive

  • Puts the customer first and steers the project to success

  • Isn't afraid to wade through the technical weeds of a project, and can work as a translator between developers and non-technical clients and team members

  • Helps rally the team members working on your projects to understand goals and hit deadlines

  • Has a bachelor’s degree in business, journalism, marketing, communications or other relevant field

  • Has experience with HubSpot
