Les Caison III is an award-winning North Carolina visual artist. He is from Greensboro, earned a BFA in Studio Art from Appalachian State University, and has over 70 exhibitions under his belt — 20 of them solo. Les combines oil paint washes with graphite illustration to create thoughtful slices of life every day complete with depictions of people, places and things.

You may have seen Les’s art in Winston-Salem. He is a participating member of the Delurk Gallery Collective. His artwork was also recently featured in a movie art poster project called “Screen Club” with a/perture cinema.

Les has exhibited artwork across North Carolina including the Hickory Museum of Art, the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in Winston-Salem, the Green Hill Center for NC Art in Greensboro, and the Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington. His next solo exhibition opens in December 2014 at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts in Boone, NC.

Les currently serves the Randolph County community as the Program Director for the Randolph Arts Guild, cutting a rug for fundraisers, and encouraging others to explore and enjoy creativity by organizing creative lectures and classes at the guild.
